Whenever I go on a birding trip that features birds I am unfamiliar with, I have to study. My pelagic cruise off of Durban, South Africa is no exception, but I chose a different study process this time. I did line drawing of the birds we expect we may see and represented them in their actual size next to each other. It's a total of 10 compilations including the biggest & smallest of each family & a bill comparison. Now I have to figure out how to take them with me in a usable form. Here they are...
