Confession: I was once a fairly consistent and somewhat prolific watercolorist, but since I started birding, I haven’t sat down long enough to pick up a paintbrush. Watercolor is now something I most often view through a camera or monocular lens while scanning the horizon for new birds to check off my target list. With that caveat, I am bold to say that capturing some of my biggest and most beautiful bird moments via watercolor – my favorite medium. I’ve already had a measure of success with my paintings, many of which, ironically, featured shore birds and shore lines years before I relocated to Rhode Island. I will be updating this page with my Westerly watercolors as they appear on paper. Prints available for sale at:
